NATIVE
AMERICAN RECONCILIATION SERVICE
SCHEDULED BY GOD
Community
Christian Fellowship (CCF), Lowell, MA will host a
Native American Reconciliation Service including Dr.
Negiel Bigpond co-founder of the Two Rivers Native
American Training Center. Dr. Bigpond is an
evangelist and a pastor; founder of the Native America
Circle of Prayer; he serves on the boards of several
ministries and collaborations, and is active in the
National Day of Prayer in Washington, DC. The
Massachusetts State Official attending the service
will be Senator Steven C. Panagiotakos, a practicing
attorney and first elected to the State Senate in
1996. Senator Panagiotakos is a native of
Lowell, MA.
Senior
Pastor Raffoul Najem of CCF reports that some of the
members of his church approached him with a sincere
concern for the many injustices that had been done to
the Indian people in this area. After
researching the rich Native American Massachusetts
history it was confirmed that tribal activity had
occurred in the areas of Lowell and Haverhill, where
two CCF churches now reside. Through a series of
“divine connections”, Pastor Najem was able to
schedule a Reconciliation Service. Pastor Najem said,
“While I don’t know how accurate it is, we have
been told that this will be the first service of its
kind in Massachusetts. When we pray for spiritual
revival we understand that God may first identify
areas of sin or unfinished business. That is the
case here. Many of the injustices inflicted on the
Indian people were done in the name of God. It’s
time that repentance, forgiveness, and reconciliation
be demonstrated. Because their ancestors were wounded
in the name of Christianity, we want to do what we can
to help restore their trust and knowledge of the true
character of God. “
Community

2006 at 10:30 a.m. in the main sanctuary. The
service is open to everyone.
