CHURCHES UNITED TO BLESS THE CITY OF LOWELL, MA DECLARED A SUCCESS
Community
Christian Fellowship (CCF) of Lowell
announces that the recent collaborative effort to
“Bless the City of
Lowell” by hosting a Block Party was a tremendous success!Joined by leaders and members of other local
churches, over 1,000 people of all ages were served on
South Common in
Lowell
,
MA
starting at
11:00 a.m.
on
July 30, 2005
. The purpose of the event was to give back to the
city by serving the people in need who live within its
boundaries.
The
free event included pony rides, face painting, and
bouncing rooms for the kids. A prayer booth was made
available for people who wanted someone to pray with
them.A
cookout, music, hair cuts and frequent prize giveaways
including such items as a microwave, sewing machines,
bikes, gift certificates, sports equipment, and a used
car, lasted until 2:00 p.m. when a huge grocery
distribution station was opened.People filled their shopping bags and boxes
with literally tons of groceries. By
5:00 p.m.
not a can of food remained.
“By
God’s grace we will do even more next year to show
the love of Jesus Christ in this tangible way!” said
CCF’s Senior Pastor Raffoul Najem. Numerous local
businesses made monetary or prize donations to show
their compassion for the people of
Lowell

Challenge Ministry of Lowell; Mill City Vineyard
Church of Tewksbury; The Secret Place A House of

Ministries of Pelham, NH.
