Community Christian Fellowship & Academy
Lowell, Massachusetts

Community Christian Fellowship (CCF) has resurrected a community center in their facility where the Lowell Hebrew Community Center had previously functioned from its inception in 1929. When the congregation of Temple Bethel sold the building to CCF several years ago, they left behind a legacy of service to the people of Lowell. Without knowledge of the building’s history, some of the congregants of CCF approached the leadership with a proposal to serve the city by starting a free service community center. The proposal was enthusiastically received by the elders; and on October 1, 2008 the Community Workshop & Training Center opened its doors.

The Center has offered a wide variety of classes such as Creative Writing, Cross-Stitch, Sewing, Music Theory, Hand Drum Techniques, Languages such as ESL, Swahili and Spanish, Anxiety Management, Computer Literacy, Cooking, CPR, Nutrition and more. The center has also included children’s Arts & Crafts, Sports and after school Tutoring.

Class registration is required as enrollment will be limited. A complete list of classes and schedules can be obtained by calling 978-934-9414 or for more information about the church or the Center, please visit www.ccfcca.com.
